I come to this work through fifteen years of sitting with leaders in Vistage peer advisory groups — CEOs, senior executives, people who run things and carry that weight largely alone. Before that I ran a manufacturing company without an HR department, a playbook, or anyone to call when things got messy. I know what it costs when the words don't land.
